Birthday Parties
The PDSC has four Birthday Party themes to choose from! Here is what is included in the PDSC Birthday Party Package:

Free science center admission for the birthday child, parents and grandparents of the birthday child, 12 party guests and one parent per guest. "Guest" refers to a child invited to the birthday party.

A private birthday party room rental for 90 minutes (10:30am-12:00pm or 1pm-2:30pm).

A 20-30 minute science activity based on your selected Birthday Party Theme (See themes below)

A $10 credit in the PDSC Curiosity Shop to purchase party favors for birthday guests.

PDSC-provided colorful birthday party tablecloths, utensils, cups, napkins, and plates.

Personal birthday message on our classroom whiteboard.

Access to a sink, refrigerator, freezer, and microwave for the birthday family to use during the party.

Consultation with our birthday party coordinator about themes, activities, and/or decorations.

Our volunteers & staff will clean up the room so you don't have to!
How Much Is A Birthday Package?
The cost for a Science Birthday Party Package is $150, plus $5 for each additional guest beyond the first 12 guests (guests refer to invited children). PDSC Members receive a 10% discount on their total Super Science Birthday Party Package.
Book your PDSC birthday party at least 2 weeks prior to the day of the party. To hold your reservation (after you have chosen an available date and time and selected a birthday party theme), you will need to come to the PDSC during business hours and sign the Birthday Party Terms of Agreement form & submit a total payment for the Birthday Party Package (Visa, MC, cash or check).
Your scheduled day and time may be made available to others if these conditions are not met by the 2-week-prior deadline.
Scheduling A Birthday Party
During the school year, our birthday party room is available most Saturdays from 10:30am-12:00pm or from 1:00pm-2:30pm. Call to inquire about summer parties as they may be more flexible.
Because the birthday party room is also used for weekend classes and activities, not all Saturdays are open for parties. Check the birthday party availability calendar below to see what dates and times are available.

Birthday Party Themes
Bubbles:
Our most popular theme featuring a series of bubble-ology activities including placing participants inside of a giant bubble!
Suggested Audience: Ages 7 and under
Creepy Crawly:
Learn all about the creepy and crawly critters from the PDSC animal hall...and be challenged to touch some...if you dare!
Suggested Audience: Ages 4 and up
Planetarium:
Take a tour through the solar system! Visit planets, galaxies, nebulaes and more using the PDSC's indoor planetarium!
Suggested Audience: Ages 3 and up
Blowin' In The Wind:
Use the PDSC wind machine to make objects dance and fly! Learn how to build your own paper helicopter and how to make a ping pong ball float!
Suggested Audience: Ages 5 and under
